Describing Love

When you say you love someone, it gets heard a thousand different ways. No on interprets love the same way. The girl who's father never told her that he loved her, so the first guy she meets that shows interest in her and tells her he loves her. She believes him, she wants to because no one ever showed her what real loves is. So she sleeps with him and the next day he is gone. The boy who watched his parents, who supposedly loved each other, fight day in and day out. Ultimately, he get to watch his mother shoot his father because she finally got sick of being his punching bag. His mother sent top prison and his father dead, the boy grows up never knowing what love is. We are raised to believe in love and told all about it. Both of the kids in this story were told numerous times about love. The problem is that they never felt love. The painful truth is that its hard to love someone. Love hurts. So to describe love with words only dampens the true fire and emotion the love is. Everyone hears and portrays what they think is love. But love cant be seen or written down, only felt.

Truly decide to love someone today

Best Wishes,
Grant

Times Like These

If you have ever been in a relationship for any length of time, you know how crazy things can get. Every relationship, no matter how strong, has its problems. With the birth of our beautiful baby girl things have been a little strained between the wife and I. She is home all day having to take care of Anne Marie by herself while im at work for 10 hours trying to make ends meet. When we finally get to see each other at night I take over with the baby and she cleans the house, does laundry, etc. The problem is that it doesnt leave a whole lot of time for us to be together. I dont want to end up 20 years from now not knowing the person I wake up next to every morning.

Alyssa,

If you read this (which you probably will, cause you always read my stuff) I want you to know that you are the love of my life. You are the reason I get up in the morning. You are an amazing women; always caring, loving, and patient. I am so lucky that you came into my life. Without you I would not have any direction in my life. You have always pushed me to follow my dreams and to believe in myself. Thank you for all of your loving support.

With all my love,
Hubby

InChaos @ Emerson Skate Contest

This Saturday will be the first time in over 8 years I have skated in a contest so im a little nervous. This is supposed to be a pretty chill event but skating in front of people still bugs me out. Anyway, if you live in Jacksonville and you want to come out, I will be giving away some clothes from In Chaos.

Wish Me Luck,
Grant

That Emerson Contest - Saturday, March 27 @ Cuba Hunter Park

Born from controversy in BusStop's very own chatbox, 'That Emerson Contest' (tentative name) will have 4 to 6 man jam sessions at a time, with the top skaters in each session going on to the next round. Even if you don't make it past the first round, you have potential to earn prizes just by doing tricks.

This contest is brought to you by the Murder Squad, and sponsors include Square One Skateshop, Red Bull, Vans, In Chaos Clothing and Crown. There is no entry fee for the contest, and if you don't know already, Cuba Hunter Park (aka Emerson) is free skatepark.

About me

My name is Grant and this is about me

So this is my first time every blogging about anything. I guess I will tell you about myself. I am 22 years old and I live in Jacksonville, Florida. I have been married for 2 years and I have a 1 month old beautiful baby girl named Anne Marie. I own a clothing company, which everyone can probably deduce, called In Chaos. My ultimate goal in life would be if I could provide for my family through only doing my clothing line, sadly right now that is not the case. I work for a bank in the document custody department right now to make ends meet. I do really well at it, but I fucking cant stand to sit inside all day. But, enough negativity.

I was born and raised in Jax Beach. I grew up surfing and skateboarding since a really early age. I think my dad put me on my first skateboard when I was 6. I remember it like it was yesterday. We were at Kona skatepark and I was to scared to drop into anything, so my dad (who had not skated since the late 70's early 80's) grabbed a rental board and helmet. In disbelief I watched him walk out of the clubhouse with an old school vision under his arm and one of those really old skate helmets that covers the ear. He walked right over and dropped in and cruzd the whole concrete area. So after that I dropped in and 16 years later im still doing it.

Dad - If you ever get to read this I want you to know that you have always been an inspiration to me. I have always looked up to you and valued your opinion most. With this new begining in my life (Anne Marie) come new challenges. I frequently look back on my life and think about how you handled a similar situation so that I can make the best descision possible. The day you grabbed that board you became a superhero to me. I still think of you that way and my hope is that one day my kids will do the same.

Best Wishes,
Grant
